Yayasan JCorp English Tuition Project

Nurturing Potential, One Student at a Time

Since 2012, we have worked hand in hand with the Johor State Education Department (JPNJ) to support students across Johor — helping them unlock their academic potential and build brighter futures.

In 2023, we introduced the Bridging B1: Southern Stellar module, a focused English language support programme developed with input from expert teachers in Johor. Designed for SPM students, the module was delivered through regular and accelerated sessions by trained educators — giving students the boost they needed to succeed.

This effort continued in 2024, reaching selected students from 23 schools across 11 districts. And we are not stopping there. In 2025, we are raising the bar with B1 Booster – ACE Your SPM English — an upgraded module designed to sharpen language skills and build exam confidence.

Because when students thrive, communities grow stronger — and we are here to champion both.

Choral Speaking Johor State Level

Choral Speaking Johor State Level: Raising Voices. Inspiring Change.

We believe in the power of young voices to shape a better world.

Since 2023, Yayasan JCorp has proudly collaborated with the Johor State Education Department (JPNJ) to bring the Johor State Level Choral Speaking Challenge to life, a vibrant platform that nurtures confidence, teamwork, and creativity among Johor’s youth.

Over the years, the judging panel comprising educators and representatives from Johor Corporation (JCorp) and its Group of Companies has continuously supported this meaningful effort to develop communication skills and leadership potential through English language mastery.

In 2025, the programme reached new heights. A total of 5,419 students from 11 districts took part in the Yayasan JCorp Choral Speaking Competition, with 440 students competing at the Johor State Level. The event drew an impressive 26,411 local visitors to KOMTAR JBCC, reflecting strong community engagement and support for youth talent.

The excitement also extended online. Between 28 July and 24 August 2025, the competition generated over 1 million views across Yayasan JCorp’s social media platforms, while follower growth surged by 2,300.

Johor’s young talents made history on the national stage as SK Yong Peng was crowned Champion in the National Choral Speaking Challenge (Primary Category), while SMK Yong Peng proudly secured fifth place in the Secondary Category at PICC Putrajaya.

As we continue this journey, Yayasan JCorp remains steadfast in empowering the next generation to speak up, speak out, and speak for change, because every voice has the power to inspire.

English Language Carnival

At Yayasan JCorp, we believe that language is more than words. It is a bridge to confidence, creativity, and connection.

Together with the Johor State Education Department, we brought the Johor State Level English Language Carnival to life, creating a vibrant platform where students could express themselves and showcase their talents in front of an enthusiastic audience.

The 2024 edition, held at KOMTAR JBCC, saw 6,495 participants from across Johor stepping into the spotlight. In 2025, participation soared to 10,265 students statewide, reflecting growing excitement and passion for English language learning. This year, the state-level event took place at Perpustakaan Raja Zarith Sofiah, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor Bahru, drawing hundreds of students, teachers, and supporters together in celebration of language and creativity.

From Scrabble and Storytelling to Poetry Recitation and Mini Documentaries, the Carnival featured six dynamic competitions that encouraged students to think creatively, communicate effectively, and build confidence through expression. With proud teachers and parents cheering them on, the Carnival became a true celebration of learning, culture, and imagination.

Yayasan JCorp remains committed to nurturing young minds through impactful educational initiatives, especially those that enhance English language proficiency among students. Through programmes that combine learning and creativity, students gain more than just language skills as they develop confidence, expressiveness, and innovative thinking.

Johor’s excellence in language learning shone even brighter at the National Language Unity Programme 2025, held from 27 to 29 October 2025 at Lotus Desaru Beach Resort. Competing against 1,500 students from 752 contingents nationwide, the Johor contingent achieved outstanding success.
